ESET offers different plans for Windows, macOS, Android and Linux. They offer a free plan which is ideal for security basics, while the more expensive options come with features like parental controls and password management as well as data encryption. The most expensive plans include the gaming mode which prevents unauthorized access to the hardware of your computer while you play.

Installation is simple and fast. It doesn’t overwhelm your computer with unnecessary software, as well. There are a few other options however the majority of the tools and features can be found on the left-hand sidebar.

Connected Home monitor is a new feature that gives a visual representation of all devices that are connected to your network. It can also be used to look for weaknesses such as open ports or weak passwords for routers.

Another notable feature is a pop-up which displays each time you insert the USB storage device. You can scan your drive immediately, or set it to scan automatically. If you don’t wish to scan the entire drive, you may run an on-demand scan.

Advanced users will appreciate the ability to customize what and how the suite is examined. You can specify the number of folders, files and specific items that the program will scan. You can even specify how deep the program should scan archives, in case you wish to omit certain kinds of files from the initial scan.
